Printing & saving BMPs
Besides saving WIF files, BW will allow you to print your projects on paper or save them as BMP (bitmap) files which can be further processed by paint programs (or imported by other programs).
Printing your project
To print your project, click menu Weaving/Print...
BW will show you the following print dialog:

The print dialog
The option buttons will let you print the whole project (Complete weaving) or just a selected portion of it (Selected area). If you clicked on Selected area and there are no warp or weft selector cells marked, BW will warn you.
The two check boxes, when checked, are used for:
a) Including weaving info: BW will include a header, at the top of the page, containing title, author, email and file name (see Adding information to your project).
b) Including threading, treadling and tieup: Besides printing the drawdown area, BW will also add all these areas to the page.
When printing, BW will eventually scale down the image in order to fit it to the page size.
Saving your project as a BMP
To save your project as a BMP file, click menu Weaving/Save As...
When the Save As... dialog shows up, select the Bitmap file (*.bmp) option, which is chosen right under the spot where you read/write the file name; then you type a file name, and click Save.

The Save As BMP option
BW will show you a dialog similar to the print dialog above. The options are the same.

The save BMP dialog
The only difference here is that, when saving a BMP, BW will not scale the image.
In other words: Cells in the bitmap will have the same size you see in the screen.
Running out of memory
Printing or saving BMPs for large weaving projects may require a large amount of free memory.
If there's not enough memory to process your request, BW will warn you with a message box showing you how much memory is needed and how much is available.

The 'not enough memory' message box
Although this is not exactly a BW limitation, this problem (and how to bypass it) is discussed in BW limits.
