This page contains some useful links for the handloom weaver.
Handwoven magazine - Filled with creative projects, lots of useful information and beautifully designed. Great magazine! University of Arizona on-line weaving archive - A HUGE and very well organized digital source of books and other documents on weaving, textiles and related topics. Maintained by Ralph Griswold. A fantastic free source of weaving information. Don't miss it! Many (thousands!) of the patterns found inside the books of the archive are available, ready to use, at the handweaving.net link above. Vav Magasinet - Swedish weaving magazine, with english translation.
Below you'll find some weaving books links to get started.
Interweave Press - Books from the publisher of Handwoven magazine. The Woolery - Good list if books from The Woolery.
A couple of general search links on weaving books:
Google - Google search for weaving books. Amazon - Amazon bookstore search for hand weaving.
There are many good books about handloom weaving, and choosing the right one is a matter of personal taste and needs. However, we'd like to suggest two books:
The Book of Looms - Eric Broudy's book about the history of the handloom. Handloom Weaving Technology - Allen A. Fannin's book. It teaches everything you need to know about handlooms.

We have included a list of links to other equally good software companies. We hope this list will help you find the best weaving software for your needs.
WeaveIt - For Windows. DBWeave - For Windows. WeaveMaker - For Windows & Mac. WeaveConvert - Not a weaving software but a very useful utility program. It translates proprietary file formats into WIF format (Free!).
Under a tight budget? Maybe a free or shareware software can help you going:
WeaveDesign - For Windows (Free!). WeaveDraft - For Windows & Mac (shareware).
